I got a letter in the mail about the extended warranty on the first vehicle that we got Endurance on. We gave them a call, we got it, and when we had a claim, they did damn well with it. There was something wrong with the AC system. They had to take it in twice, and they did a really good job. We gave the shop the info that's on the ID card that Endurance gave us and then they handled everything. We paid a $100 deductible.

Getting signed up was really good. Their salesperson was awesome. She explained everything very well. It was a really good experience in general. They tell you everything there is. They try to help you out as much as possible, if you can get into certain discounts. I like that if you get the five-year plan, you only have to pay for three years and it's actually not like you pay the whole. You got 60 months. You don't make payments 60 months. You only make payments for 30 months, which is damn awesome.

We have a used vehicle, it's a 2017, but it's a super clean car. I went online and I searched for extended warranties. Endurance came up as number one and I called them. Then I got a phone call from them saying that someone would call me. When the lady called me, we talked in full details and what impressed me was everything that was included in the repairs if something were to happen and you had to put in a claim. At one point, I said it sounded too good to be true, then I asked her a couple of questions, even about another company that I heard some things about. She explained to me that that other company was a third party company and it wasn't the same as their Endurance. She was thorough and knowledgeable. There was nothing I asked her that she couldn't answer. I also liked that she wasn't pushy and she took her time in speaking.

But it made me really wonder if I was doing the right thing when she told me about the $29.99 and the $300. When I asked her if I could her back, she said it was our first application and it would be 29.99. She said that if I called back, she would not be able to waive the $300. It would be 300 versus 29.99. I said yes to that, but I talked to another lady and it turned our that the first rep didn't write down my email address correctly. So, we haven't got the policy at all. When we called about it, the rep said the the lady I first talked to sent it right to me. Then, when we got the policy, and I asked her to please explain to me about the difference between the 29.99 and the 300? She said what the first rep said was true and I felt funny about that.

The Endurance rep was extremely thorough. When he called, I told him, "I don't really wanna do this." I thought it was not as good as it sounded. When he told me that for the amount of miles, I could get covered and the extra years, like no other used car. Even if I were to have bought the warranty at the dealership, it would have only covered the amount of time that I had the vehicle financed. It never extends past that on a used car.

I had insurance through another company before that wanted me to pay all this extra for the rental car, in which on a car insurance policy, you only get a rental car if the car was wrecked, and not if you have mechanical failure. So that was a big point for me when the Endurance rep told me, "If the car breaks down and they're gonna have it for a few days or you've gotta have something fixed on it, we'll cover a rental car." He also added that, "If you are driving out of state and the car breaks down, we'll pay for a hotel." I go out of state a lot. I've got family that lives in Oklahoma and Texas and my kids and I take road trips constantly so that's peace of mind that I wouldn't have gotten out of just my car policy.

I've run into some personal issues so I called Endurance. I happened to have gotten a manager when I called in, and he said, "Let's do this. You have till the 1st, if you absolutely can't keep it. But in order to make sure that you're okay, because at that point, you're gonna be at your 30 days, your 1,000 mile mark. And if you cancel it now, what if you can pay it and you cancel it now? You've gotta start over again." He also said that, "So if something comes up and you absolutely cannot have that money come out of your bank account, let me know on August 1st. It won't come out on the 2nd. But to make sure that you're okay and to make sure that you don't have any other things on your plate, because it seems pretty full, if you're able to keep it, we will waive your September. And we'll defer it till the end so that you have that cushion and you're not also having to worry about something going wrong with your car." It was awesome.

When I called Endurance and told them what I needed, they said, “Sure. We'll do that.” The rep did what he did. It was easy. They just took all my information. He asked me if the payment that I was making was still good and I told him, “Yes.” Then he said, “Okay. We'll set it up.” The only problem that I had was I got an email saying that another company was gonna be doing my payment. I didn't know if it was a scam and I'm not that good on the computer. So, I called the Endurance rep this morning and I said, “I wanted to check on this because I wanted to make sure it's not a scam.” I told him what I wanted and what my email said and he said, “Everything is fine. They are a company of ours, but you don't have to do anything. Everything is already set up. Don't worry about it.”

Several things happened to my car that Endurance would have paid for if I had have realized they were as good as they were. But I didn't collect the insurance because I didn't realize that they would pay for electrical and all of this stuff. When I had trouble with my transmission and we had to replace the transmission. I called Endurance to see if they would pay anything on it, and they did.

My air conditioner went out. I took my car to three different places and they kept telling me there was nothing wrong with it because it would cool sometimes and then sometimes it wouldn't. They would stand outside the car and roll the window down and stick their hand in there, and if it was cool, when they felt the air coming out of the vent, they wouldn't do anything. So, I put it in Nissan. They checked it out, charged me for checking it out, and said it was okay. I took it to Modern Chevrolet and they checked it out and said it was okay.

I asked a guy at one of these Quick Lube places that changes your oil if they know a good air conditioner place and the guy said, “Take it down to Parrish Tire.” So, I took it down there and they had a real mechanic down there, not one that looks at a computer. He said, “You're gonna have to replace all this stuff.” So I called Endurance and I didn't think they would pay anything on it, but I tried anyway. The rep said, “Yes. We'll come out and check it." That was why I renewed my policy with them because they did me right twice.

Endurance offered better things that the other company didn't offer and the other one kept leaving me with loopholes. The representative told me that if I have four or five items that need to be done on my car, all I do is just pay the 100 deductible to Endurance. There are no loopholes. I asked him about the sensors and he said that's covered under the electrical. So, when he said that, I was sold, because everything is electrical down that hood. As long as it's covered, I'm good. I'm on a fixed income and I'm retired. So, I'm trying to look for something that's gonna be reasonable for my pocket that I can stand on and if I go out of town and something happens, I can call my warranty company. The problem is covered and all I gotta do is just have $100. That's the confidence I wanted to have because I do a lot of traveling.

I'm trying to get my car together to go to Huntsville, Alabama this year. So, I wanna make sure everything is right on my car and the representative said that Endurance deals through the Nissan dealership quite a bit. That way, I could always go to Nissan. They'll know more about my car than anybody else would. My main thing is traveling somewhere with confidence, knowing that I won't have to search around in a small town and look for some mechanic that may or may not take you through. A dealership is gonna take you.

The representative was very knowledgeable and very proficient because he explained the coverage. He answered every question I had. He broke down most of the electrical, what Endurance covers and it sounded good to me, about the tune-up and the oil change one time on each one. I could go with that because that's the vote of confidence that they’re bringing in with me. If they’re gonna do something one time, then the rest is left up to me that day. I could deal with that as long as I know that if I get it done, everything is gonna be covered. All I need to know is what's not covered. That way, I know what I can and cannot, what I will and will not be able to pay for it myself and I know how to approach it. Any problem that I may have right now, I believe that Endurance will take care of it for me.

The representative represented the company very well to me. I had to miss his call one day because I was in the shower and I didn't hear my phone ring. But since then, I got some paperwork from Endurance and they got their first payment yesterday. So, all I need to know is when I would be able to use this. It says I have to wait 30 days.

I had a bad experience just now with Endurance. We were having issues with the car, but I had it fixed and I took it to the shop. When I got it fixed, I took it to a road trip. When I came back from Florida three weeks later, when I drove to work, the car’s screen popped up saying service is due. Something popped up saying, “Please pull over or turn the car.” It was reading something on the screen. So, I parked it on the side of the community center at my job, and I left it there. It was making a loud noise. It would hesitate to go like it was losing engine pressure.

I had it sent to the dealership, and they said that the manifold slid out and they were going through all other stuff, saying they need to be replaced. I said, “They don’t need to be replaced. You don't have to do that.” He was also gonna put the tires on there. I said, “I didn't even ask you for tires.” He added extra stuff on there instead of what I was asking to check. That was what made the price go up that high. It was 11,000. Then after I take that stuff off, I checked and the engine light was on. The car is still saying, “Cut off. Please set the engine off or you may lose control of driving.”

When I first got the warranty, the lady put my information in wrong. When their own claims department called me, the rep was like, “We have the same name but yours is spelled with one F, which is weird.” I said, “No, I spelled with two F's.” He’s like, “Well, whoever did this, they put the information in wrong.” Then it said 89,000 miles on one, then the same day, it said 189. I said she did it wrong and she had to transfer me to a supervisor. That was why I had to pay two different prices. I had to pay the difference with what I paid the first time because she put all the information in wrong.

I was like, “How is that my fault when she put all the information in wrong. Even spelled my name wrong.” That's a gray area right there, and then an Endurance worker put the wrong mileage on it, and she said she can't go back and change it because it was already 30 days old. I had to call CARFAX and do a report. My claim was denied. They said, “If you change your name and put the mileage right, then you can call the claims back and we can get this claim going.” I was like, “I called, and the lady was like, she couldn't do it because the people who I took it to previously on 10-31 put the wrong mileage in, which the lady said she couldn't change it. She apologized because it was 30 days old already, but she said she couldn’t change it and put the right one."

So, it’s jammed up. I was trying to pull up the CARFAX report to change the information on there, but I'm sure she didn't change my name. The rep was supposed to pay close attention when you’re dealing with people’s money. That was a bad experience right there. Still, I already recommended somebody to Endurance and they already have a claim with them.

I contacted Endurance, which made me more comfortable because we get a lot of auto warranty calls a week and I am not comfortable being cold called on things like that. The rep that I talked to spent time asking me why I wanted a warranty. It was like he was not out to just get business. He wanted that business to make sense for them. So he spent quite a bit of time quizzing me and then he ran some information to be sure that my car qualified. Then he proposed the plan that he felt fit with what I was doing with the car as far as miles and time. That was kind of nice, but I told him, “Wait. I don't really have a choice. This is the one you're giving me.” He said, “Well, that's why I asked you all those questions, to be sure I was giving you the one that fit for what you needed.” So I appreciated that.

I wish the warranty would cover some more things, like the electronics but they don't do that in that old car. He said they would, but it was crazy more expensive. Being as I haven't had any trouble and I'm not having trouble with my car, he felt that I should concentrate in the one that he was proposing. So we picked the plan, and I wanted to talk to my husband before I committed to it. He gave me some sort of discount for it being the first time that there had been any contact. He gave me 10 minutes to talk with my husband, and I did that. So it was pretty easy. He gave me the opportunity that felt like I did due diligence that way. We talked about it for a little bit more and went ahead with it. He went through all the administrative paperwork to get it set up.

I thought Endurance would mail me the paperwork, but they didn't. They sent me links in my email to get the paperwork and I had to get a code to get the link. But when I got out of my email to get the code and came back, it started over again. So I still don't have the full blown official paperwork. It is a little annoying. Everybody else is able to do that. It would probably work if I was working off of my computer, but I didn't. I was working off my phone and it's not well interfaced that way. If they're just gonna do it by links, they need to be sure that it works well enough.

I am very disappointed with Endurance. I choose their service because of the reviews. My warranty cover my vehicle for seals and gaskets. My car is having issues and now they don’t wanna cover. Also, it does cover fuel injectors and now they don’t wanna cover it neither.
