What is the dress code for Zuiderdam? ›

Dress: Smart Casual (skirts/dresses, slacks and blouses for ladies, slacks and collared shirts for men) or Formal (evening gowns and co*cktail dresses for women; tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits with a tie for men. Most 7-night cruises have 2 formal nights and longer cruises will have additional formal nights.

The Cost of Holland America Gratuities

Holland America Line has a daily Crew Appreciation charge, considered gratuity for team members who make the guest experience. The customary charge for non-suite stateroom guests is $16.00 per person, and suite guests are charged $17.50 per day.

Answer: Jeans without holes, tears or embroidery are welcome on most evenings in all restaurants, but on Dressy Nights jeans are only allowed in the casual dining restaurants.

There are two Gala Nights on a 7-day cruise. Usually, depending on itinerary and length of stay in ports, the Gala Nights are the second night aboard, and night before the last one on board. Without knowing your itinerary I can't be more specific about when your Gala Nights will be.

There are no self-service laundry facilities on the Zuiderdam (on any of the Vista/Signature ships, for that matter).

An automatic 18% gratuity is added to beverage packages, specialty dining, spa services, bar packages and main dining room wine purchases.

Plastic water bottles are not allowed. However, an allowance of six liters, twelve (12) cans or cartons (500 ml in volume or less) or six (6) cans or cartons (1 liter in volume or less) of water are allowed per stateroom. Any amount in excess of this allowance will be not be allowed onboard.
